About me

Here you will find some of my personal work as artist and writer. My goals in life are simple, yet somewhat ambitious:

  • learning as much as humanly possible
  • sharing my knowledge in order to help wherever I can
  • developing ideas that bring upon real social change
  • staying a child at heart until the day I die.

I currently work in the animation industry in France and spend most of my spare time becoming an entrepreneur. I'm full of ideas. I'm efficient, perfectionist and decisive. I like people; learning from, sharing with and observing them. I travel, eat, paint and swim. It's all loads of fun!

My experience

Sept 2011 current: The Fairytale Blogger is meant to be a series of books. Morten Enevoldsen and I are currently writing the story for book one.

Nov 2011: I created a recipe and illustrations for Chickpea magazine (winter 2011).

Feb – Sept 2011: Michel is a TV series produced by Folimage and Les Tanukis in Valence, France. As a 2D animator using toonboom, I roughly create 8 seconds of character animation daily.

Nov 2010: Pirates vs Ninjas vs Zombies vs Pandas is an iphone game by Tactile Entertainment. I worked on its intro trailer as flash animator.

March 2010 – Aug 2010: Captain Nemo's Legacy was an iphone game by Morten Enevoldsen, Palle Ehmsen and myself. For this project, I was in charge of gameplay, visuals (characters + environment + UI) and organisation. Unfortunately, we ran out of time to complete it. It was a hard, but rich experience.

Aug – Oct 2009: Angelo Rules is a TV series produced by Teamto, Valence. As a 3D layout artist using maya, I helped translate the storyboard into a 3D animatic. My work consisted of timing and framing scenes and creating camera movements.

July 2009: Polo is a pilot for a TV series project by Folimage and Les Tanukis. I worked as the storyboard artist and keyframe animator on a very tight deadline.

May 2009: Disney entrusted the creation of a mini-game for the Tinkerbell franchise to Les Tanukis. On that occasion, I was able to create some additional design work and animation. It was very interesting to see their working bibles and methods.

April 2009: Bubble Gubs is a pilot for a TV series produced by Les Tanukis. This was my first job as 2D animator for that company. Impressing them with my skills has allowed me to keep working for them.

Sept – Dec 2008: Internship as flash artist at Cartoon Network in London, UK. I created small teasers using the company’s existing titles. This included storyboarding, additional design work, creation of backgrounds and animation in flash and maya.

Sept 2007 – June 2008: Sheep is my graduation short film at The Animation Workshop (TAW) in Viborg, Denmark. Besides supervising the artists and animators on this project, I created the character designs, colour script, storyboard and some of the animation. The short film has been to 14 festivals, among which:

  • “Annecy International Animation Festival” in France
  • “Anima Mundi” in Brazil, “Landlocked” in Ohio
  • “Encounters” in Bristol
  • “Cartoons by the Bay”
  • “Future Film Festival” in Italy

Nov 2007 – Jan 2008: Sylfidden is Dorte Bengston's graduation film at The Danish Film School in Copenhagen. I worked on it as 2D animator.

July 2006 – Oct 2007: Art director at Beanstock TV in Viborg. I was responsible for creating the visuals and the structure of the company’s VOD site. For that occasion, I worked together with the talented programmer, Palle Ehmsen. At the same time, I designed the iconic characters of Beanstock TV; Jack and the Giant. And I directed the illustrator Julie Hauge Andersen who created much of the company’s merchandising.

Jan – July 2005: Production of the short film Little Demon’s Pilgrimage at TAW. This project allowed me to experiment with integration between animation and photography. It was sponsored by the “Fondation Vaudoise pour le Cinéma” in Switzerland.

Oct 2004: Internship at the graphic design studio Diabolo Design in Vevey, Switzerland.

May – June 2001: Painting exhibit at an art gallery in Lausanne, Switzerland. The experience was a great success in the sense that I sold most of my artwork.

April 1999: Internship at DSCHOINT VENCHR FILMPRODUKTION in Zürick, Switzerland.
